EMINENT - Evaluating the Maturity of Interoperability for the Energy Transition

The EMINENT framework enables assessment of interoperability maturity through open-source tools and methodologies.

EMINENT (Evaluating the Maturity of INteroperability for the ENergy Transition) is a tool that was developed within the int:net project that will operate as a maturity model in the energy sector, to assess and improve their interoperability capabilities over time, ensuring that they can keep pace with the rapidly changing energy landscape.

The EMINENT Interoperability Maturity Model – with its accompanying ready to use online tool for maturity assessment - targets interoperability communities like data spaces, standardization working groups, open source (software) development projects and many more.

The assessment framework, data processing tooling and results database are all open source (under a mix of Apache 2 and CC-BY 4.0 licenses). Anyone who wishes to evaluate the maturity of the interoperability of a community they are part of or which they are supporting, may use this tool to do so. Detailed instructions for how to execute an EMINENT assessment can be found at the proprietary developer platform GitHub.

Users of the tool are encouraged to share the results of their study in the database that is published under the same link. This will help other interoperability communities as well by sharing experiences and insights. While the reference implementation does not collect any personal information, users who choose to modify the questionnaire should be sure to remove any personal identifiable information before publishing the data to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.

All the resources related to this tool remain available after the completion of the project and may be updated as the tool remains in use.
