int:net at the 1st Impulsforum "Digitale Energiewende" in Berlin
On April 29, 2025, the 1st Impulsforum Digitale Energiewende took place in Berlin, hosted by VDE DKE at the Future Energy Lab. With a focus on the overarching vision of the All Electric Society, the event brought together experts from across sectors to advance discussions on cross-domain data ecosystems and interoperability in energy systems.
The forum featured insightful presentations in the morning, including a talk by Ludwig Karg on the goals and progress of our int:net project. Rolf Riemenschneider from the European Commission added a broader European perspective by highlighting developments in Energy Data Spaces. The afternoon was dedicated to interactive workshops designed to initiate the foundation of a new standardisation committee: “All Electric Society: Platform for Cross-Sector Data Ecosystems.”
This initiative aims to drive the development of practical, interoperable standards for data exchange across the energy, mobility, and industrial sectors — a key requirement for achieving a holistic energy transition.
Representing int:net, René Kuchenbuch from OFFIS participated in the event discussions. Sebastian Kosslers and Beate Schmitt, also involved in int:net, were among the workshop organisers.
This Impulsforum marks the beginning of a long-term effort to coordinate data management standardisation around sector coupling and digital infrastructure. int:net is proud to contribute to this transformative initiative, supporting the foundation for interoperable, scalable, and sustainable digital energy systems.
