BRIDGE General Assembly 2025

The Bridge General Assembly 2025 brought together key stakeholders from across the energy sector to discuss the latest developments in digitalization and data spaces. Among the highlights was a session on sector coupling and data interoperability, reinforcing the European Union’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition through collaborative innovation.

Cluster Data Spaces: Shaping the Future of Energy Data

A key segment of the assembly was the presentation of the Cluster Data Spaces, featuring expert insights on the role of data-driven innovation in energy systems:
Stavros Stamatoukos, Policy Officer at DG ENER, European Commission, provided an overview of the cluster, highlighting its strategic importance in fostering interoperability and secure data exchange.

Antonello Monti from Fraunhofer FIT outlined the int:net project and its collaborative work with five leading projects on energy data spaces. His presentation emphasized the need for harmonized frameworks to maximize the impact of digitalization in the energy sector.

Sector Coupling and Regulation

Laia Guitart from E.DSO co-led Action 4 of the Regulation Working Group (WG) on sector coupling, representing int:net. The discussions underscored the importance of regulatory alignment and integrated energy systems in achieving a sustainable and efficient energy market.

As the energy landscape evolves, the Bridge General Assembly continues to be a cornerstone event for shaping the future of energy data governance and interoperability.
