int:net at Enlit 2024

Enlit 2024 has come to a close, and what a fantastic event it was! As a global platform for energy transformation, Enlit brings together industry leaders, innovators, policymakers, and experts from around the world to drive advancements in sustainable energy, digital transformation, and collaborative solutions for a greener future. We at int:net were thrilled and proud to once again contribute to this inspiring event, sharing ideas and engaging in critical discussions that shape the future of energy.

The int:net session offered a platform to showcase some of our latest and most impactful project results, including the EMINENT project, our comprehensive testing framework, the expanding int:net community, and more. Each of these initiatives underscores our commitment to fostering innovation, ensuring reliable digital infrastructure, and building community-based solutions in the energy sector.

The Energy Data Space session, expertly led by Antonello Monti, zeroed in on advancing digitalization within the energy industry, addressing critical challenges and opportunities for digital solutions in energy. The session opened with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by European Commission (EC) representatives Patricia Arsene and Stavros Stamatoukos, who set the tone for a collaborative and forward-thinking discussion.

Monti presented the latest progress across cluster projects, setting the stage for Roundtable 1 discussions with projects such as ENERSHARE, Omega-X, EDDIE, SYNERGIES, and DATA CELLAR. The roundtable explored essential next steps, where participants highlighted the need for enhanced policy support and infrastructure investments to achieve full-scale deployment of these innovative solutions.

Monti also underscored the importance of interoperability with a focus on a semantic interoperability test designed to facilitate seamless data exchange across projects—an essential component for cohesive energy data solutions. During Roundtable 2, extended cluster projects like TwinEU, Odeon, Begonia, InterStore, and Hedge-IoT shared early achievements and insights, delving into challenges around data exchange, the evolving role of prosumers, and how to overcome barriers to full digitalization in the energy domain.

It was wonderful to reconnect with so many new and familiar faces at the int:net booth. Your support, enthusiasm, and engagement made this event truly memorable. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the vibrant discussions—Enlit 2024 demonstrated the power of collaboration, and we look forward to building on this momentum through exciting partnerships ahead!
