From Vision to Implementation: Interoperability for Europe’s Energy System

We are pleased to invite you to the Final Conference of int:net, where we will share key results, insights, and recommendations from our work on interoperability in the energy system.

Dates:

Main Conference:
18 September 2025 | 09:00 - 17:00
Inspiring talks, practical tools and guidelines for many use cases & interactive open exchange

Pre-Event Evening:
17 September 2025 | 18:00 - 20:00
Informal get-together with dinner speech and a first look at the project and conference

Location:
The Faculty Brussels
Rue des Vétérinaires 47, 1070 Anderlecht, Belgium

The Latin interoperare means “working together” – a fitting summary of what int:net has been about. Over the past years, our EU-funded project brought together experts from technology, policy, academia, and business to explore how interoperability can power the energy system of tomorrow.
The true core of int:net was not just enabling machines to work together – it was about building the willingness and ability of people, organisations, and systems to collaborate. Isn’t that exactly what the future energy system needs?

Now, the final conference marks a turning point: from developing concepts to applying them in real-world energy transformation. We invite you to this meaningful event – which is anything but an ending:

  • Main Conference on 18 September 2025
  • Pre-Event Evening on 17 September 2025

What to Expect

The event is the starting point for new activities in developing, promoting and funding interoperable approaches. Not the least to develop technically and societally sound means to deal with energy data.
Expect an inspiring mix of presentations and discussions. Onsite participants will gain insights into the key findings, tools and guidelines of int:net and learn how to apply them in their daily work.

“It is not enough to know, you also have to apply.
It is not enough to want, one must also act.”
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Highlights

  • New models and practical tools
Learn how to use the new int:net instruments – whether you shape policy, drive innova-tion, or build digital energy systems.
  • Dialogue with decision-makers
Representatives from the European Commission, national governments, associations and companies will outline how they plan to build on int:net results – to foster interoperability in the future energy system and in related data spaces.
  • From research to real-world use
Hear from experts who led int:net’s work packages and see how their findings contribute to ongoing initiatives like CEEDS.
