The transition from traditional data marketplaces to data spaces marks a paradigm shift in data management. While marketplaces focus on buying and selling data as a commodity, data spaces promote a more collaborative and interconnected approach. In data spaces, data is shared, accessed, and utilized within ecosystems that emphasize interoperability and collaboration. This shift reflects the growing recognition of data as a strategic asset that can drive innovation, create new opportunities, and address societal challenges when effectively shared and used. The session will explore this shift towards a value-driven approach to data management. Our two project members Gianluca Lipari from EPRI and Alberto Dognini from Fraunhofer FIT will participate in this session.
